About The Clean Scene Car Wash
Self Serve Car Wash with Credit Car Processing
Located at 740 W Arapaho Rd, Richardson, TX 75080, The Clean Scene Car Wash operates as a self-service car wash serving Richardson in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Richardson is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Richardson is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Clean scene was a convenient spot for me due to the time of night it was. Although the bay I used had a hole in the holes but still got the job done. Vacuums could use maintenance didn't have really good suction on the vacuums.

Standard self wash car wash. Wash takes credit/debit cards, vacuum requires cash. (Would have been nice if the vacuums took cards. Didn't have any cash with me the day I used this car wash.) Cash bill changer on site.

To the lady whining about getting scammed by a random person - sure that sucks, but how is that the owner’s fault? haha The car wash is great but there are some pretty odd issues at this place, I was going to give 3 stars but these are things the owner could fix pretty easily. Overall the quality of the place is good. It’s 7 minutes for $1.50, a great deal, but don’t make the mistake of extending using the button, it’s a huge rip off. I’ve never seen a car wash do this before. For 50 cents, you get 1 extra minute, which doesn’t add up. Other than that the price and the ingredients they use are great, except my other issue down below. The green and yellow dyes they use in some of their stuff really confuse me. I washed my car before heading out, got water splashed on me while spraying. My white shirt has yellow spots all over it, doesn’t go away when dry, never seen something like this before. I put water on it hoping it would come out, nope, it’s there. So I’m currently running into the mall to buy another shirt before going to a dinner. This shouldn’t be a thing that you have to worry about your shirt getting ruined at a car wash, but I suppose that’s my fault for getting spla

DO NOT GO TO THIS CARWASH. ITS A SCAM!!!!! THERE IS A MAN THAT APPROACHES YOU WHEN YOU GO TO GET CHANGE AND HE SAYS THE CHANGE MACHINE DOSENT WORK. HE PULLS QUARTERS OUT OF HIS POCKET AND EXCHANGES YOUR CASH FOR HIS QUARTERS. SOME OF THESE DONT FIT IN THE COIN RECEIVER, AND THEY FALL BEHIND THE COIN RECEIVER. YOUR TIME RUNS OUT AND YOU NEED MORE QUARTERS. HE CAME OVER TO HELP ME AND SAYS MY QUARTERS WERE NO BUENO NO GOOD AND WALKS AWAY WITH MY BAD QUARTERS. I ASKED FOR THEM BACK TO NOTICE THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER QUARTERS. I got all my QUARTERS from him so I know they came from him. If it's not a scam they need to reimburse people for loosing their money and check their QUARTERS for bad ones.

decent car wash, I like that you can swipe your card in case you don't carry cash. 😉. My hands have a yellow stain from the soap.
